Genius Sound Beats is a private beat portal run by Genius Sound Records for its producers and artists. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can have it deleted.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, role, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password itself).
- Content you add: beats, previews, artwork, profile and stage names, bios, requests, and messages you send in the portal.
- Activity and security records: sign-ins, downloads, approvals and similar actions, with the IP address and time, so we can protect accounts and investigate misuse.
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
How we use it
Only to run the portal: signing you in, delivering and protecting beats, handling requests and downloads, sending the messages and email notifications you choose to receive, and keeping the service secure.
Sharing
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. Other members see what the portal shows them, such as producer pages and messages sent to them. Email notifications are sent through our email provider. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Storage and security
Data is stored on our own servers and sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Audio files are kept private and are only released through single-use, time-limited download links.
Retention
We keep your account and content while your account is active. Security and transaction records may be kept for up to 12 months after deletion where needed for fraud prevention, accounting, or legal reasons.
Deleting your account
Email [email protected] from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my Genius Sound Beats account". We will delete your account, profile, messages and uploaded files within 30 days, except the records described under Retention. You can also ask us for a copy of your data the same way.
Children
The portal is for people aged 13 and over and is not directed at children.
